Spinning Iraqi Polls

I came across these two recent polls conducted with Iraqis on security issues, the government and ongoing conflict in their country.

1st poll:

Only 18% of Iraqis have confidence in US and coalition troops, while opinion is almost evenly split on whether to have confidence in Iraq’s government.

2nd poll:

Indicates that by a majority of two to one, Iraqis prefer the current leadership to Saddam Hussein’s regime despite the collapse of security and lack of public services.

I found this post by Hot Air who creatively analyse, finesse and fill-in some of the blanks in the second poll. Regardless of poll spin, Americans are increasingly showing their displeasure with Bush’s war.

In comparison, the mild poll swings we are experiencing in political public opinion in Canada seem pretty tame to me.
