Thoughts about the Globe and Mail Senate Poll

senate.jpgI sometimes pay attention to Globe and Mail online polls because the results make some sense to me. If their recent poll is correct then it shows the Cons are way off base on wanting to have an elected Senate. CanWest reports,

The government’s House leader is warning opposition parties that the Conservatives won’t tolerate indefinite obstruction of their Senate reform agenda, reviving the spectre of a possible snap election.

So much for Harper being in touch with Canadian opinion. A majority of people, 87% want it phased out. That is a huge number of Canadians obviously from all political stripes to have the same opinion. Noteworthy.
