Putin, Crazy Like A Fox

The moderate voice reports on the clever trap Putin has laid for Bush. It looks like we get to spend the summer watching Bush squirm on Putin’s hook. The Moderate Voice states,

Russia’s Vladimir Putin has laid a very skilful trap for President George Bush’s plans to place the beginnings of an anti-missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic to protect Western Europe against a possible attack by Iran or North Korea.

    what is more interesting is the comment section following. Well, maybe not that interesting but worthy of note for is the fact that hystermyopianoia is alive and well in the ever narcissistic USA and, the notion that star wars (as they don’t like to call it anymore) could hit a bull in the ass with a base fiddle.

    How about a missile shield to protect Western Europe from a resurgent Russia? There is no question what this is for.

    Western Europe has the technology to develop one. Of course, it may not work. Ask the UK and France if they are going to get rid of the nuclear deterrent. The answer is no, not even the new Gordon Brown government.

    So missile defence is going to be a reality and NATO has more or less accepted it once Eastern Europe and the Baltic states are in. This includes a Democratic president with the exception of Kucinich.

    Acutally, no. It has nothing to do with protecting Western Europe. What it is for is the US pursuit of global dominance, pure and simple. It is a completely unnecessary and in fact extremely dangerous project to pursue.
